'Fortnite' Announces Official Crossover With 'Among Us'

Following an Imposters gameplay mode that generated some controversy with Among Us producers back in August of last year, Epic Games and Innersloth have now buried the hatchet with a new official Among Us crossover on Fortnite. There will be no new gameplay mode this time around, but players will be able to equip Crewmate Back Bling in the original game's colors as well as a Distraction Dance Emote.

The Among Us cosmetics may be obtained by either purchasing the game from the Epic Games Store or purchasing the Among Us Stars Pack.

Fortnite and Among Us are now officially working. Following Epic Games' apparent rip-off of the popular social deduction game, which came as a surprise to the makers of Among Us, it appears that the two companies are planning to collaborate and provide legally approved cosmetics to the game.

Many players have been waiting for the Fortnite x Among Us collaboration for a long time. Although Among Us has passed its prime as a game, it remains quite popular. It was certainly the most popular game at one point, and everyone, including US politicians, was broadcasting or creating content about it.

The Fortnite x Among Us cooperation has been announced by several respected leakers, including HYPEX, iFireMonkey, and ShiinaBR. The collaboration includes the following, based on what they've discovered:

  • Back bling that reacts and can be customised
  •  emote for Gaming Legends

"Crewmate" is the name of the back bling, which refers to the role that the majority of players in Among Us end up playing. There are usually a lot more Crewmates than Imposters.

The back bling is designed to resemble the game's avatars. Because they'd be impossible to stretch into Fortnite skins, Epic decided to turn them into back blings instead.
